During the actual training, the board met up with Marian and started discussing their results to the Management Drives questionnaire.
Marian gave a very good description of everyone’s drives. The board could really see the drives in how they had worked the past half year. You could see where the frustrations came from that some board members had or where the board members would be very enthusiastic about and what a successful board year meant to them.
Without Marian, the board would not have figured this out on their own because the circles would have been too hard to read. Marian gave a very good explanation and had everyone’s drives figured out to the detail. It was really great to have her there and give an explanation.
After the training, it became easier to figure out what the board members would be enthusiastic about and what would frustrate them. With knowing that, it was possible to create an ambience in which every board member would feel comfortable and on top of that, board members now could easily see reactions from other board members coming when they wanted them to do something or would have some questions.
